The first task you will want to do is to check the oil level. The oil should halfway fill this sight glass.
This oil level should be checked monthly. Acceptable oil consumption is between 1oz.-5oz. per month.
Figure 1.2
Filling the oil is easy, just hold open the filler valve and put in the oil.

Figure 1.4
Check the head cooling fan. Some of these fans blow in a downward direction, some in an upward direction.
If the fan is not blowing this will cause the compressor to run hot and affect the performance of your
compressor.
Figure 1.5
Checking the coalescant filter flow indicator needs to be done while the compressor is operating in its
normal duty cycle (80-100 psi).
Figure 1.6
To cycle the compressor pull the pressure relief valve ring.
Figure 1.7
Figure 1.8
A green indicator represents a normal condition and a clean filter. A red indicator signals an obstruction
in flow. The filter must be replaced.
Figure 1.9
To change the filter, turn the compressor off. Turn the filter housing clockwise or counterclockwise to
disengage the locking tabs. Slightly wiggle and pull down to remove the filter housing.
Figure 1.10
To remove the filter, unscrew the filter counter-clockwise. Replace with a new filter, and repeat the
steps 1.9 and 1.10, except in reverse order.
Figure 1.11
Check the wet/dry indicator. If this indicates that the condition is wet, switch the purge tank to 'Open.'
Figure 1.12
Open the purge valve to switch over to the separate purge tank. This allows the desiccant tank to dry out.
Open the tank drain briefly to see if there is any moisture. If no moisture comes out, close the valve.
If moisture exists, leave the valve open until moisture is gone.
